Types of Scholarships
Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Offers two types of scholarships
1. Tamim Scholarship
The scholarships are merit based, which rewards academic excellence. It is designed to assist citizens of Qatar, residents and international students of the Arab decent to pursue their academic dreams. The benefits include, fully funded tuition fees. In addition, international students will have access to free accommodation in the school hostels, monthly living stipends, and health insurance.
2. Sanad Scholarship
The scholarships are designed to assist students in financial needs. It is for Qatari, residents, and international students covering program’s fees of 10 to 100%. International students applying from outside Qatar will have their full tuitions covered, plus free accommodation, monthly living stipends, and health insurance.

For Master’s (MS)
• Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (full-time study) with a minimum grade as required by the Institute.
• Final-year undergraduate students may apply, provided they graduate by July 1, 2025.
• Proof of language proficiency is required:
• Arabic: Non-native speakers must take an Arabic language test.
• English: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 59, or DELF B2 (score 50) – unless exempt.
For Doctoral (PhD)
• Applicants must hold both a Bachelor’s degree (GPA ≥ 3.20) and a Master’s degree (GPA ≥ 3.50) in a related field from an accredited university.
• Full-time study is mandatory for both degrees.
• Language requirements: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 79 in English (unless exempt), plus proficiency in Arabic.
